The upload of forest maps is starting today for areas of Kavala, Pieria, Drama, Arkadia, Kastoria, Lefkada, Kefallonia, and Zakynthos.

The initiation of the upload is consequent to the voting of environmental law 46585/2020 and the constant co-operation between Ministry of Environment and Energy with Coordinates of Decentralized Administrations, executives of forest services, “Hellenic Cadaster”, as well as the timely preparation and issuance of necessary administrative acts.

The target is achieving validation of forest maps until the end of 2021 for the whole Greek region -including the examination of the majority of objections against the content of the forest map by the Commissions of Objection Examinations (ΕΠΕΑ), according to the new legislation of their composition, as well as the national commitments of our country towards the European Union.

The weekly schedule of uploads from middle January to late February 2021 has already been composed and forwarded towards all the decentralized Forest Services as well as the related entities (Hellenic Cadaster, Greek Payment Authority of Common Agricultural Policy Aid Schemes (OPEKEPE), Ministry of Finance).

All owners of properties in the specific areas may address our office for the review of their property and the correspondent submission of objection to the competent authorities, in case it is necessary.
