The Government plans a bill for the re-institutionalization of the Golden Visa. Golden Visa entitlement is underway, not only for investors who invest funds in the real estate market but also for those who aim at financial institutions. In addition, among the terms that are launched, are the funds that are placed in Real Estate Investment Societes Anonymes (ΑΕΕΑΠ) with the ultimate goal of obtaining the Greek visa for five years and to be renewable upon its expiration, as well as the deposits amounting to 1 million euros in repo of the Greek state.
The specific bill aspires to be implemented by the summer, so that Greece becomes a pole of investment attraction. Based on the data for the last 11 months of 2017, the residence permits issued to foreign buyers exceed 560, with the total number since the implementation of June 2014 amounting to 2,170
